Common Questions

Frequently Asked Before Booking

Here are the questions our team hears most often before a first booking. If yours is not answered here, please reach out directly.

How far in advance should I book?
For standard photography and videography projects we recommend booking at least five business days in advance. Mapping surveys, construction programmes, and event coverage benefit from more lead time — ideally two to three weeks — to allow for airspace authorisation and site survey coordination. That said, we always try to accommodate urgent requests where operationally feasible.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. DroneMaster carries £10 million public liability insurance on every commercial flight. We can provide certificate copies before any project commences. All our pilots hold current CAA certifications and operate under a documented safety management framework.
What areas of the UK do you cover?
We operate across the full UK mainland — England, Scotland, and Wales. Our operational bases in London, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh, and Cardiff allow us to deploy quickly to most locations. We also undertake international commercial projects; please contact us directly to discuss requirements outside the UK.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day?
Safety is always the priority. If conditions on the day are below our operational minimums — typically wind speeds above 15 m/s, low cloud obscuring the flight area, or precipitation affecting sensor performance — we will reschedule at no additional charge. Our team monitors forecasts from 72 hours out and will contact you proactively if a postponement looks likely.
