Eyes in the Sky for Every Stage of Your Build

Drone-based construction monitoring, structural inspection, and photographic progress reporting.

The Case for Drone Inspection

Safer, Faster, and More Detailed Than Traditional Access

Construction and infrastructure inspection has traditionally relied on expensive scaffold towers, cherry pickers, and rope access teams to bring inspectors close enough to assess steelwork, facades, roofing, and other hard-to-reach elements. DroneMaster replaces this costly and time-consuming approach with a rapid, non-intrusive drone inspection service that captures high-resolution imagery of every surface from any angle — without disrupting site operations or exposing workers to unnecessary risk. Our photogrammetric mapping capability goes further still, generating centimetre-accurate 2D orthomosaic maps and 3D point clouds of entire sites from a single flight. Regular progress photography — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly — creates a detailed visual record of construction milestones, supports safety audits, and provides contractors and clients with the information they need to manage programmes and report to stakeholders. Every inspection deliverable is produced to professional standards, documented, and archived for the lifetime of the project.

Service Areas

Inspection Services

Progress Documentation

Regular aerial photography and video of construction progress, delivered on a schedule that suits your programme. We capture consistent camera positions across visits, enabling direct comparison between sessions. Imagery is date-stamped, archived, and delivered in a client-accessible online portal for easy sharing with project teams and investors.

Structural Survey

Close-up aerial inspection of roofing, facades, glazing, steelwork, cladding, and external plant. Our high-resolution cameras capture sufficient detail to identify cracking, spalling, delamination, and fastener issues without any physical access to the structure. Annotated image reports are produced to the same standard as traditional rope-access inspection documentation.

Safety Audit

Aerial safety audits provide project managers and health and safety coordinators with a bird's-eye view of edge protection, hoarding integrity, scaffold conditions, access arrangements, and site housekeeping. We produce annotated reports identifying any observations and referencing relevant CDM regulations. Audits can be conducted without entering the site perimeter.

Photogrammetry Mapping

Using structured flight patterns and specialist photogrammetry software, we generate centimetre-accurate 2D orthomosaic maps and 3D digital elevation models of the entire site. These data products are used for volumetric calculations, cut-and-fill analysis, site setout verification, and BIM integration, replacing expensive traditional survey methods on many projects.

Our Workflow

Typical Inspection Programme

1

Site Brief & Risk Assessment

We open every engagement with a detailed site brief and a written risk assessment tailored to your specific environment. This covers site hazards, proximity to public areas, MAST restrictions, and any operational constraints imposed by the principal contractor. The risk assessment is submitted to you for review and sign-off before any flight activity takes place.

2

Permission & Notification

Our operations team handles all necessary CAA Article 94 flight notifications and, where required, Article 16 authorisation applications for operations near aerodromes or in controlled airspace. We maintain all documentation on file and provide copies to you as part of the inspection dossier, ensuring your project records are complete and audit-ready.

3

Flight Operations

Our certified Remote Pilot arrives on site with all equipment pre-checked and calibrated. A final pre-flight safety briefing is conducted with your site team, take-off and landing zones are agreed, and the mission is executed methodically according to the approved flight plan. We typically complete a standard site inspection in 30 to 60 minutes of flight time.

4

Data Processing (24–48 hr)

Captured imagery and telemetry data are processed through our photogrammetry pipeline within 24 to 48 hours of the flight. Orthomosaic maps are generated, point clouds are cleaned and classified, inspection reports are annotated, and all deliverables are assembled and quality-checked by a senior team member before they are issued.

5

Report Delivery & Review Call

Final deliverables are uploaded to your secure project portal and a brief review call is scheduled with your project team. We walk through the key findings, answer technical questions, and agree any follow-up actions. Quarterly or annual inspection programmes include a summary trend analysis highlighting changes between inspection periods.
