Capture Every Grand Moment from Above

Professional aerial coverage for weddings, festivals, corporate events, and sporting competitions.

Above the Crowd

A Perspective No Ground Camera Can Offer

Aerial events coverage adds a dimension that ground-level cameras simply cannot capture — the scale of a crowd filling a field, the sweep of a grand venue from above, the dramatic geometry of a race circuit on lap one, or the emotional sweep of a ceremony set against a countryside backdrop. These are images and moments that transform event documentation into genuinely compelling content.

DroneMaster operators are experienced working in high-pressure, live event environments where timing is everything and a missed moment cannot be recreated. Our pilots are briefed on the event schedule in advance, positioned and ready before key moments begin, and operate with the discretion and professionalism that sensitive occasions demand. Guests and participants are never aware of our presence unless they look up.

We hold all necessary Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) permissions and carry commercial public liability insurance of up to £5 million. Where events involve large crowds, we apply for the appropriate Specific Category authorisations well in advance, managing the regulatory process entirely on your behalf so you can focus on the event itself.

Footage is captured in 4K on cinema-grade stabilised cameras, and a same-day preview package is available for clients who need social media content before the event concludes. Full edited deliverables follow within 48 hours.

Every Occasion

Events We Cover

From intimate private celebrations to large-scale public events, our aerial coverage experience spans every category.

Weddings & Celebrations

Aerial footage of your ceremony and reception that captures the full beauty of the venue and the joy of the occasion. We work sensitively alongside your photography and videography team, carefully timing our flights around key moments such as the first dance, confetti, and group shots.

Music Festivals & Concerts

Sweeping crowd shots, artist perspectives, and wide-field views that tell the story of a live music event at its most epic scale. We hold the airspace permissions required for large crowds and are experienced working within festival production environments.

Sporting Events & Races

Track days, cycle sportives, triathlons, golf days, and equestrian competitions all benefit enormously from aerial coverage. Our pilots track athletes and vehicles dynamically, capturing the drama and pace of competition in a way no static camera can match.

Corporate Events & Conferences

Establish the scale and prestige of your venue, document delegate arrivals, and capture the energy of outdoor networking or product launches. Aerial footage elevates corporate event films and provides marketing assets with genuine impact for future campaigns.

Film & TV Production

Supporting feature film, documentary, and television productions with broadcast-compliant aerial footage. We work closely with your director and DOP to match lens choices, altitude, and movement to the visual language of the production.

Public Events & Parades

Community celebrations, charity runs, street parades, and council-organised events. We obtain all necessary permissions for operations over public spaces and work closely with event organisers and safety officers to ensure compliance at every stage.

Our Process

What to Expect on the Day

1

Pre-Event Planning

We obtain all required CAA notifications and, where necessary, Specific Category operational authorisations for operations over or near crowds. We discuss your event schedule, key shots list, and any site-specific constraints in detail so that nothing is left to chance on the day.

2

Site Familiarisation

Our pilot visits or remotely surveys the venue in advance to identify optimal flight positions, potential obstacles, restricted zones, and safe take-off and landing areas. This preparation means we arrive on the day ready to fly immediately without needing to scout while the event is live.

3

Live Coverage

On the day, our pilot operates discreetly and professionally, fully briefed on the event programme and in radio communication with your event team if required. We adapt in real time to changing circumstances, capturing spontaneous moments as well as planned set pieces with equal care.

4

Same-Day Preview

Where a same-day preview is commissioned, a curated selection of stills and short video clips are processed and delivered to your device before the event concludes — ready for social media posts while your guests are still celebrating. Full edited deliverables follow within 48 hours.

Lead Times & Logistics

Planning Your Event Coverage

Lead time varies significantly depending on the nature of the event. For private occasions such as weddings and corporate days, we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance. Events involving operations over crowds of more than 1,000 people require a Specific Category (SpecOps) authorisation from the CAA, which involves submitting an operational safety case that we prepare and manage on your behalf — allow a minimum of six to eight weeks for this process.

To plan effectively, we need to know the event date and location, the expected audience size, the site layout (a floor plan or site map is ideal), the schedule of key moments you want captured, any areas or individuals that must not be filmed, and contact details for your event manager and safety officer.

UK weather is unpredictable, and we always prepare a contingency plan. We monitor forecasts from the day of booking and will discuss alternative flight windows with you if conditions look marginal. Our equipment is rated to operate in winds up to 38 km/h and light rain, but safety always takes precedence over footage.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Can you fly at indoor events?

Standard GPS-stabilised drones are not suitable for indoor flight as they rely on satellite positioning to maintain stability. However, we operate specialist indoor-capable systems that use optical flow and ultrasonic sensors for indoor environments such as arenas, exhibition halls, and large marquees. Indoor drone operations require additional safety planning and should be discussed well in advance.

How much notice do you need?

For standard outdoor events away from restricted airspace, we can often accommodate bookings with as little as one to two weeks notice. For events near aerodromes, in controlled airspace, or involving crowds requiring a Specific Category authorisation from the CAA, we need a minimum of six to eight weeks to complete the regulatory process. Contact us as early as possible to confirm availability and avoid any complications.

Can you work alongside our video production team?

Absolutely — we regularly integrate with larger production crews and are experienced working to a director's shot list. We attend pre-production meetings, share flight windows and movement plans with the ground crew, and ensure our operations complement rather than disrupt the wider shoot. Our pilot will liaise directly with your camera director or DOP throughout the day.
